WESLEY HOSTS THE GULUVITA PRIMARY SCHOOL

The Sinhala Literary Association, under the guidance of Mr W A D T Dayaratne and Mrs Prasangi Fernando, initiated a day out for the students of the Guluvita Primary School in Matugama , on the 31st September, 2019. 34 students traveled in excitement in our School bus all the way from Matugama with 6 teachers and their Principal. They were brought to Wesley College and were welcomed by the Junior Eastern Band in a procession to the main hall. The Wesley Primary students entertained them with music and dance. Books and stationery items were given to each child and they were taken on a tour around the city of Colombo, which included a stop at the National Museum too. The Children set off back to their homes after a fellowship lunch at Wesley. This initiative was a starting point for the students of Wesley College in their learning period of appreciating the diversity of others while acknowledging the benefits they enjoy day after day.
